A FITNESS studio has won a business award judged by Dragons' Den star Theo Paphitis.
Obsessions TLC, in Sycamore Grove, Trowbridge, has won a month's worth of advertising on radio station GWR in the UPS Business Awards 2007. Paphitis, a Cyprus-born entrepreneur who appears in BBC 2's Dragons' Den, which invites new businesses to try and gain funding, selected the winners of the award. Obsessions manager Emma Edwards, said she was delighted when she found out the competition had been judged by the entrepreneur. "I didn't even know the competition was being judged by him until one of my members of staff told me and I phoned up GWR to check," she said. "We were told Theo said we were the most worthy for the award. We were absolutely ecstatic to win. I don't usually win anything. We were all very proud.
Trowbridge Carnival Sept 2007
We had a fantastic time. Staff and their children joined the Obsessions TLC company car in the prosession this year,- in a prime location at the front. Crowd response was great and we hope everyone who took a flyer will come along and see for themselves the great atmosphere and service Obsessions TLC provides for women in the west country.
As a lovely suprise two days after the carnival, Emma Edwards recieves a call from the carnival organisers telling us that we came 2nd in one of the prosession catagories.
We are so proud to say we hold another trophy and will give it pride of place in the Salon. Many thanks to staff/members and their children who joined us. Picture to follow
A Fruity Win!
On the 17th January staff at Obsessions were surprised by a visit by the GWR Black Thunders with a HUGE basket of fresh fruit supplied by GS Fruit. Obsessions entered the draw run by GWR FM and were delighted to be winners. "We have this gorgeous basket of fruit to share with our members, encouraging them to enjoy a healthy snack after their workout".
